Frequently Asked Questions
How to be a volunteer?
You can write into us by completing our contact form on the contact page.
Please remember to send us a copy of your CV if you have one and a brief outline of how you feel you can help and how long you would like to work with us.
What should you know before apply
You may have the gift of speaking several languages. Or already be a member of a particular indigenous tribe. You may want to experience living in a different country and culture. To be safe, it pays to invest some time doing your research on that particular environment and potential political or health risks attached to living in that country, making sure your have the appropriate inoculations in good time before your stay with us. Also learn the religions of the countries you are visiting so as not to offend.
Information about application process
We try to acknowledge all your communications with us, in the event we fail, feel free to write to us again to follow up at any time. Our application process can take up to 3 months, so please ensure that you take that into account before committing to join us. Our placements usually last from one to 3 years.
We are selecting people with empathy for the people and the countries in which we place them. You have to be aware of people’s feelings and limitations and set realistic achievable goals and targets.
Spread awareness about volunteering
Thinking about volunteering to work with us? Why not bring your friends? Working in teams with people you know and trust can be more fun and provides a basic support network until you feel confident enough to manage a project on your own. Working far away from your loved one’s for the first time can be for some people a daunting task, so why not bring some of your friends and family with you, and make it a team effort?
We welcome people of all cultures and religions and give equal rights to both men and women.
How you could become an external partner
We are always looking for the best and lowest cost practical solutions to create clean drinking water in different parts of the world, to develop hi-tech methods of exchange between the unbanked, and to provide safe clean homes for our people.
We also fund projects which secure habitats for wildlife, re-establish forests, devise new more efficient and less destructive ways of farming food and managing animals. Obviously, we give priority to our former volunteers who have spent time with us and who understand our processes. But everyone is welcome to apply and we support independent contractors and SME’s.
What it Means to Protect the Planet
Former mechanisms of controlling people are collapsing. Capitalism has exploited both humans and the Earth’s finite resources. Greed and selfishness have polluted the earth and continue to destroy our planet. Humans are destructive creatures, and the economic concept of capitalism has encouraged that destruction and exploitation. Some people have no scruples over murdering their fellow human beings, let alone slaughtering every species of animal God created or cutting down every last tree on the planet! This system of personal greed and personal gain is both misguided and wrong. Allowed to continue unabated it will destroy all of us.
To survive into the future we must change! Be that change!
